Staying Power or Stubbornness?

I was thrilled a couple of weeks ago when a show business pal posted on my Facebook page that he had just received the June/July "Pride" issue of The Advocate magazine in the mail and, while thumbing through the pages, he had stumbled upon my picture and a short shout-out about my shows at The Iridium Jazz Club in NYC.  I quickly picked up a copy, cut out my blurb from page 58, pasted it on the cover and posted it on Facebook.  Since then, I've heard from friends around the world who subscribe to The…

Going Into Our 5th Year!

It's hard to believe I've been singing at The Iridium Jazz Club in New York City every month for four whole years but it's true!  We've got two shows tomorrow night (at 8 & 10 pm) with some lovely lady guest stars (Karen Oberlin, Marissa Mulder, and KT Sullivan!) and then we gear up for the big 4 Year Anniversary Gala Concert and Blow Out event on Tuesday, March 26th, 2013!  I will have a super star guest and a bunch of past guest stars in the show and I can't wait to celebrate this milestone achievement…

The Return of Mister Bongo & More!

Hi Everyone!

I'm VERY excited about all of the recent developments with my concert events in New York City and I just have to gush a little about all of the reasons why!

For three and a half years, I have performed a monthly show at The Iridium on Broadway in New York City, and we're STILL going strong!  My 8-piece "little big band" has developed into a formidable group of the top jazz and Broadway musicians New York has to offer and we continue to set the bar high with new arrangements of swingin' tunes…

My Special Guest Star this Tues Feb 21 at The Iridium in NYC is...

PAUL SAFY, JR.!  I love this guy!  Not only is he a native Upstate New Yorker, like me, (Buffalo, Rochester... just a quick ride down the Thruway!) but he swings hard and has a deep devotion to classic songs from the Great American Songbook and the stars who originally made them famous (Tony Bennett, Frank Sinatra, Bobby Darin, etc.)  He's also a sweetheart.  You don't find guys this nice in show biz these days.

Check him out on YouTube (link below) on NBC's "America's Got Talent" in the finals of Season…

REALLY exciting performance updates!

Pinch me.  No, seriously.  Pinch me!  I cannot believe the cool stuff happening right now!  Here's what's up:

I got a phone call yesterday from BILLY STRITCH.  He's been out on tour with Liza Minnelli, Linda Lavin, Christine Ebersole, and with Jim Caruso and their now-traveling "Cast Party!"  In between shows, Billy found the time to read a Facebook message I sent him last week asking him to appear with us at The Iridium in New York City on Sunday, November 6th.  HE SAID YES!  I think the thing I am most…

How I Spent My Summer Vacation by Terese Genecco

Greetings Long Lost Friends & Brand New Fans!

I can't believe it's been four months since I sent out a newsletter or wrote on my blog to connect with you but I guess that's what happens when you are working hard, playing fast, and living in New York City (mostly!)

When last we met, I was about to welcome "The Legend" Steve Rossi as my special guest star at my regular monthly gig at The Iridium in NYC.  Mr. Rossi was the singing half of the comedy duo Allen & Rossi.  They played everywhere in the late…
