The Manhattan Association of Cabarets and Clubs has conferred two separate nominations to New York City vocalist/bandleader/comedian Terese Genecco for it's 26th Annual MAC Awards. Genecco has been nominated by the membership in the category of "Major Artist - Female or Duo" along with fellow nominees Barbara Fasano & Eric Comstock and Julie Reyburn.
Ms. Genecco has also been nominated by the awards committee for a new category called "Show Of The Year" for her ongoing monthly performances with her 8-piece "little big band" at The Iridium NYC, now going into its fourth year. Her fellow nominees in this category are Eric Michael Gillett for "Cast of Thousands:Gillett Sings Carnelia" at The Laurie Beechman Theatre, Barb Jungr for "The Man In The Long Black Coat:The Songs of Bob Dylan" at The Metropolitan Room, and Sondheim Unplugged, written, produced, directed, and hosted by Phil Geoffrey Bond at The Laurie Beechman Theatre and the Philipstown Depot Theatre.
Ms. Genecco will also be a presenter at the Awards Show and Ceremony and, if announced as a winner in one or both of her categories, will perform a song after the announcement.
